Do you know the feeling when you come home to a sleet and suspect that your soaked beanie is at the end of its life? This is often not the case. With a little effort and time, the product can come to life again:

1. open the cuffs of the beanie until they are straight

2. Pull the beanie lengthwise

3. Place the beanie on a flat, airy surface to dry.

4. When the product is completely dry, you can fold the cuffs again and put the beanie back into use.

WOOL PRODUCTS RARELY NEED WASHING

Most often, the product will freshen up by airing it. But never store a wool product (even for the summer) unwashed. In storage, the product may attract uninvited pests that will gnaw at the structure of your product.

WASH THE PRODUCT AS FOLLOWS:

If there is a fold in a beanie, mittens, or other knitted accessory, open it straight out.

  • The washing temperature of the product is indicated on the washing instructions label inside the product. The washing temperature for knitwear is usually 30-40 °C.
  • Knitwear should always be washed in the machine using the so-called wool program, i.e. a gentle washing program intended for knitwear. The line under the washing temperature symbol means that the washing program must be gentle.
  • Use a mild detergent. Do not use bleach. Many detergents and stain removers state that they are not suitable for wool.
  • We do not recommend using fabric softener.
  • Wash knitwear separately or with lint-free, similar-colored items.
  • After washing, the product is shaped, i.e. straightened. The folds of the knitted fabric are still kept open and the product is lightly stretched with a ruler. Do not stretch the product widthwise.
  • The product should be dried flat in an airy place or in a drying cabinet on low heat. In a drying cabinet, the product should not be hung so that it stretches widthwise when wet and heavy.
  • Do not put knitwear in the dryer. A dryer will definitely ruin a delicate knitwear.
  • Knitwear rarely needs ironing, but some materials can be ironed according to the temperature specified in the washing instructions.
  • When the knitted item is dry, fluff it up a bit, for example by shaking the tassel, and fold any folds in the knit back into place.
