Domestic Tuohimäki manufactures the merino hats in the maternity package announced by KELA today. Tuohimäki's farm in Yli-Ullava has been designing and manufacturing knitted accessories since 1986. The off-white hat is made of 100% merino wool with organic cotton lining and ribbons. The product combines the quality of Finnish craftsmanship and responsible materials.
The Merinomyssy was designed by product manager Terttu Harsunen: “The basis of Tuohimäki’s design is to create an accessory from high-quality materials that is simple but has a touch of luxury, easy to care for, and durable over time and use,” says Harsunen.
CEO Reijo Kinnunen wants to emphasize that this order brings work to Finland and maintains domestic expertise. Tuohimäki maternity packaging products are manufactured in Yli-Ullava by 20 specialists. The merino wool used in the product is knitted and the entire product is manufactured in Tuohimäki's own factory. Tuohimäki products have been awarded the Key Flag label.
The GOTS-certified organic cotton-elastane 99/1 lining material is manufactured by Finnish company Orneule and the washing labels are made by Tuotenauha, which is also a Finnish company. The merino wool used in the product is mulesing-free and machine washable.
Tuohimäki is a brand of domestic company Nevertex Oy. Tuohimäki products can be found in the online store and in well-stocked supermarkets. Nevertex Oy also manufactures knitwear for other companies and brands.
